Aurelia
Aurelia's heart began to pound as she tried to weave through the thickening crowd. Her senses, sharper and reaching farther than normal, were quickly overwhelmed by the current of voices and prodding little fingers. A small boy extended his hand, his eyes wide.
Aurelia hesitated, then gently rubbed her cheek against his palm. Her tail, a whip of striped muscle, curled playfully through the air, brushing against another child's outstretched fingers.
She was a tiger, a creature of instinct and power. But she was also a protector, a guardian. And in that fleeting instant, as she interacted with the children, she felt a sort of happiness she hadn't experienced in years.
Hoping to draw more attention away from the rocks and onto herself, Aurelia let out playful chuffs and rumbling meows, her tail swishing back and forth as she marched forward.
Aurelia is hoping to entertain the children by being a big, friendly tiger (as she continues to move the cart)!
