Soleil
It's only my heart that you're taking
But you're so alive, it's amazing
"Interesting,” she gushes in an excited whisper. “Is that why you don’t have many shrines there?” Diana snaps her maw again, clearly exasperated that Soleil is getting distracted with interviewing Ludo instead of following the plan. Sol makes an oop expressions - one that deepens at Ludo’s corrections. But you're so alive, it's amazing
“Huh! I didn’t think of it that way!" Read: she didn't think about it at all. "Everybody talks about having 'meaningful requests' and not 'wasting your time' and that makes it all seem very…heroic. And selfless.” Which Soleil really isn’t; she’d wanted a firework weapon from Dygra and failed, which is the only reason she'd changed tactics. Given she isn't really sure what Safrin does aside from look gorgeous and build armies of attractive men, Soleil hadn't gone much further than 'herald of death maybe doesn't want me making its job harder by killing more things, so what's the opposite?' before considering herself prepared. (Not because Brit craves shrine fumbles that roll the dice on Attuned or Abandoned)
“I’m awful with swords and close combat,” she admits in a mumble, hating to appear lame in front of a literal god, “but! How about bombs?” Deadly but versatile, surely that will appease everyone involved? "Maybe even glue bombs, so I can stick people in place too - and kill things more easily with my spear." It might be capable of magical recall, but Soleil hides from Deimos' training sessions more than she actually goes, so her aim isn't exactly reliable when it comes to fulfilling Ludo's muder-wishes.
All I wanted was a woman like you
With a fire in your heart, smoke in your eyes
With a fire in your heart, smoke in your eyes
