“Me neither.” Kia says with a soft laugh that leaves from her lips. Shaking her head as they continue to scan along the volcanic outcroppings from the Climb and for any pop of red that might suggest they’ve found their prize. At first, she thinks she’s spotted one once they’ve slipped past the loose boulders — but she realizes shortly after that they’re simply just outcroppings of rubies glinting in the low light. “It’s slow going, but going!” She offers with a soft smile, one that turns a bit brighter and sweeter as Charlie asks about Fox. “He’s really kind.” Kinder than me. “He’s always the first one willing to help out. He’s a monster hunter, so I guess it goes with the territory. But I used to run the guild a long time ago, too, so we have that in common.” Kiada was far more the bloodstained type than Fox was, and she often found herself preferring to soak in unfathomable amounts of it if only to keep his hands clean. “He used to be Ascended, too. So that’s just another thing to add to the list.” Snickering softly with the thought, even if they both didn’t enjoy being Ascended, becoming Ancient has certainly made up for it. “You’d like him, I think.” Suddenly spotting another cropping of red in her peripheral, she hops over a little stream of magma to get closer, pointing to it with a questioning look back at Charlie. k i a d a
