Kaiden let out a yelp that dissolved into angry hissing as they yanked the crab off of their face. With a furious expression and a bleeding nose, they threw the menace full force at the wall of the cave. Much to their annoyance, the crab skittered away unharmed after righting itself.
Tail thrashing, the mer eyed the direction that the sudden sound had come from. "I'll go look." Grumbling, they figured going into the tunnel where the water looked slightly deeper would be best. Surely the cat would have avoided it and Kaiden could make a snack of the small fish under the pretense of searching for the damn feline. They deserved a treat for surviving their trauma.
