You need chaos in your soul
After laughing unashamedly at the suffering of the other participant, she continued her own search for Mango. Despite the dark, dreary, monotonous tones of the dark tunnel, Nova's eyes caught on the small paw prints of what she assumed belonged to their target. She knelt to inspect them, bundling her skirt to keep it off the wet floor. Being extremely inexperienced in all things tracking, she simply tilted her head in curiosity, her blond and pink hair catching the little light filtering in. The 'leader's' instructions seemed simple enough as they found her ears. Whether he'd said it or not, Nova would've followed the signs she'd been lucky enough to spot. So she hopped up and began skipping down the path. "Finders followers!" She didn't think that was how the phrase went, but she didn't much care as she hummed joyfully at her discovery.
It didn't seem like calling the pet's name would be enough to find it, so the young woman started wracking her brain for any other information she might have come across as she made her way farther in. She could've sworn she'd heard of cats liking fish. Wasn't that why they liked Torchline so much? It wasn't like the coastline city was lacking in aquatic animals. The merman helping was indication enough of that. So maybe she could entice the creature to her with a little trick. Since she didn't have fish with her, the scent would have to do. Waving her hand in a little wiggle of her fingers, a sparkle like little stars filtered into the air along with the subtle scent of tuna. Nova wrinkled her nose at the scent but continued down the pathway, working her magic. "Mango!"
Nova follows the trail, using her illusion magic to generate the smell of tuna.
