The team splits up with the mer and Abandoned, heading down the tunnel. As Nova follows the trail, the smell of tuna wafts through the air. There's the distant sound of small feet on the sand but it pauses after a moment and no cat appears. It seems that whatever lies up ahead has realized that it's an illusion. Or it's waiting for the hybrid to emerge.

Kaiden and Sah follow the twisting tunnel for a few moments before a loud crash was heard up ahead. As the two moved faster, not one, but two orange streaks ran past and down the tunnel back towards Nova. With how fast they dashed, it was difficult to tell. But they were small and furry.
