Kaiden sent the woman a dirty look for laughing at them as they entered the tunnel. His free lunch followed him but the grumpy mer didn't say a word, still fuming at their humiliation. As they swam, they reluctantly scanned their surroundings, trying to find the source of the noise.
The mer-shark's eyes widened as twin steaks of color and sound suddenly ran past them on the bank. Whipping around, Kaiden nearly smacked their tail against the rocks in their haste. "Hey!" Wasn't there only supposed to be one orange thing down here? They didn't sign up for this shit. The man better give them double portions for their efforts.
