Hearing it reciprocated made warmth well in his chest. A warmth that he kept from entering the bond for fear of overwhelming the Sword. The younger hybrid didn't want the man to shut down from being exposed to so many emotions in such a short period of time. His stoic nature already seemed a little fractured. Better not push it.
