DEIMOS
the ocean does not apologize for its depth
and the mountains do not seek forgiveness
What started as a mere idea, and half a joke, conformed under and between his hands when the opportunity arose. In those itching, restless hours of careful, integral plotting, more mantles passed over his shoulders, and political strain beginning to claw its ramparts down his spine, he wandered to the top of their home’s roof. He needed something to take his mind off everything else, and other than occasionally glancing around for a messenger to meander by in hopes of word from anyone about Ru, he had a free moment for clarity.

So he turned to creation, forming a statue that clearly represented Zuriel – majestic, regal, with the look of upmost importance across the unicorn’s features. No gargoyle bombardments in the true nature of ghoulish figures; he doubted the mare would’ve stood for it. Pleased with the outcome, he arranged it on the first corner of the house – guardian-esque and protective, as if she looked down (she typically did anyway, so the realism was still intact) across the wake.
for the space they take
and so, neither shall I
