With two of the vendors now being assisted, that left Liam to go help unload the last merchant's cart. It was simple enough work, but physically demanding; some of the boxes were heavier than they'd first appeared. Still, there weren't very many of them, so as Maea finished with her task and Lyra with hers, Liam found himself emptying the last of the boxes and rejoining the two women by the stage.
With the stage complete and the vendors helped, that left decorations to handle. Liam gestured towards a few stacked crates. One held candles, which could be placed around the square; another held bunting to be hung. The candles would be simple enough, but the bunting was more of a two-person job. "One of us can take the candles, and the other two can tackle the banners," Liam suggested. "There's a ladder over there, and tools here. Ladies first."
