Maea
And I hope that you don't suffer
But take the pain
But take the pain
Satisfied with the tent going up and being secured against wind and careless people, Maea returned to her friends. There was still work to do, and she considered the alternatives as Liam laid them out for selection. And perhaps to no one's surprise Maea cheerfully sauntered off with the ladder and an armful of bunting, humming under breath while she eyed the trees and stalls for good places to tie them up.
Setting up the ladder against a stately pine, she tested the stability and judged it to be adequate - not too tippy - and began to scale up the steps, swift and agile as a squirrel and about as fond of high places. It was hard to say when she'd gained a taste for altitude. Perhaps it had always been there, in the girl who always looked to the sky and longed for wings to take her far away. It certainly bloomed in full now, and came in handy for jobs that involved ladders and balancing.
Maea chooses task 2 ~
