One of Melita’s favorite places was the Miana Pool, and if one assumed it was due to a. the L’ma lurking below and b. the sick ass stones people dropped, they’d be correct on both counts. But she wasn’t about to pilfer her way through the rocks already offered, nor dive down. Today she circumvented along the edges, daring and bold, balancing on the thin wall along the outer rim, hands outward as she stabilized more than once, not a trace of fear upon her form.
Then, when she found just the right spot, she opted to cast her rock, a fanciful obsidian snagged from her recent trip to Apopo’s volcanic reaches, into the water below. It made a delightful little plop before sinking, and she waited with bated breath to see if anything altered or summoned the great, grant beast.
When nothing churned up she rolled her eyes, gazing upwards as Sila cast her leathery wings in a graceful, hovering arc. Fangorn managed to grumble something too, but the Honeybee shrugged, pondering if another stone would do the trick.
