While there wasn’t the threat of war looming over his shoulders any longer, there was still an entire region to maintain and protect – and with LongNight pressing ever closer, and winter itself, he had an endless barrage of tasks to complete.
Today’s was infinitely easier than some; so he hauled his bag of holding over his shoulder and made way for the Palace, heading into one of the many storage areas they had filled to the brim with a variety of things for their citizens. The afternoon’s deliveries would persist in portions of lumber and jerky – ensuring some provisions would hold for the remainder of the week, before doing it again in the following accords for families that needed it.
Belial maintained his spot in the sled as head supervisor, screeching unhelpfully while the Sword wielded incantations and his own strength in loading the vessel. Before long, he’d snagged enough for the day’s route, snagging at his list, and passed by a few as they tugged and lugged down the snow-laden path to the first home.
