The idea of building a new home - somewhere to put down new roots - was one that Noe could appreciate, though she wasn't sure she would have chosen the desert herself. But there was an appeal to it all the same. "Are you looking for any help with that?" Noe heard herself ask. "Because I'm an engineer, and I could use a little untapped potential and purpose myself, these days."
