stay your pretty eyes on course
"Mm, I usually buy coffee grounds," Niki explains, lifting up the small coffee grinder and examining it with the casual ease of a man who knows how machines work; he'd undoubtedly looked it over at the stall already to determine whether it was worth purchasing, but he can't stop himself from checking again. "But these seemed too good to pass up." The coffee beans, he means, gesturing to the small parcel of them.
If Sunjata is interested, he'll find that this particular blend ought to have notes of vanilla, milk chocolate, walnut and hazelnut, but of course until Niki gives the process a try, it could all be bullshit. It appears, though, that the Heartless is more interested in the syrup he's procured, and the necromancer doesn't try to hide how pleased he is that the purchase is a hit with the other man. "Thank you," he says. "That is what the stall said too. I was inclined to believe it was just marketing, but if you are endorsing them, perhaps it is true."
Nodding his agreement at his scent-makers for the fireplace, Niki selects a bundle of cinnamon sticks to place in the hearth now. "If you like, I can show you the stall I got them from later," he offers, summoning his cane once more to step around and start to coax the fire to life. "I think I saw those blankets, too. Alas, I have not had a chance yet to throw chemicals on the bonfire, or to go sledding. I may give that last one a miss anyway." Sledding? Niki? An accident waiting to happen.

Niki
I guess I never really faced my fears before
