stay your pretty eyes on course
"Sure," Niki says with an easy smile, trying and failing to ignore the way something warms within him at the idea of doing something as a we with the Heartless. He stuffs it down before it can take too much of a hold, reminding himself of the other man's moniker (something he's had to do more than once since they left each other at the House of Midnight) and instead offering a playfully smug nod as Sunjata agrees to join him as a purist in this new coffee venture. Even if only for a cup or two.
"I know," he drawls, leaning against the counter next to the other man and watching as the fire starts to crackle in earnest, lending a cheerful glow to the room and slowly spicing the air.
Glancing sidelong at Sunjata as he explains, he supposes it makes sense that the other man has been spending all of his time preparing for this event, though he winces a bit to hear that he's still struggling to sleep. "I am sorry to hear that," he says, rubbing at the back of his neck. "I do not know if there is anything I can do, but if there is, please let me know."
As for himself, though, Niki can only scoff and gesture about the house. "I have been focused on this place, mostly. I am leaving it until the snow thaws before I attempt anything more." Like deciding whether he will continue to work as a metalsmith or resort to his old profession.

Niki
I guess I never really faced my fears before
