Nova
Here's to alcohol,
Her head nodded at the mention of rabbit, the curls shifting enough to lose some of their weightlessness around her head. They still pressed in odd directions, and she tucked an errant strand behind her ear to get a better look at the glistening meat, her eyes fluttering when she took a deep breath of the smoky air. "Mm. Smells good."
Licking her lips, she watched him pull the meat closer to cut a piece from it, barely needing the knife to tear off the succulent strip. She was practically drooling by the time he offered it out to her, the outside looking perfectly golden with flavor. Still groggy with sleep and not wanting to waste the energy of lifting her arms from where they sat comfortably in her lap, Nova thought nothing of it when she leaned forward and took the piece with her mouth, careful not to bite his fingers in the process.
The rabbit meat was hot, but Nova was so hungry she didn't mind the temperature, too invested in the rich taste coating her tongue, gnawing gently at the ache in her stomach. She groaned softly, nodding her head with apt approval when she glanced sideways at Marcus. "Mmm. You're a good cook." Smiling, she turned back to the rabbit and leaned slightly forward, eager for more. "Is it done? Can I have more?"
