flora
Flora hisses in a breath at the reminder of the quest she and Kaisel have yet to finish, the words landing perilously close to all the other things she’s just asked for. The last thing she wants is to seem greedy, particularly when Safrin has already agreed to entertain both a foreign shrine and the possibility of doing something with the Dreamwalker’s antlers. With a crooked smile, Flora nods at once, then again with enough emphasis to make it abundantly clear she understands.
"Yeah, right, totally," she agrees, taking another drink as though the wine might smooth over the brief flare of embarrassment. "We’ll get right on this."
Her smile brightens as she lifts her goblet toward Safrin. "And I’ll make sure everyone knows along the way that you’re the one making all of this possible." The promise comes easily, carrying none of the calculated sweetness of her earlier flattery; Safrin’s approval genuinely is what allows any of it to move forward, and Flora has no intention of letting Torchline forget it. She tips her glass in a small, glittering toast to her goddess.
