Kipper
A snack given, then words received, today was not a bad day at all.
Kip chuckled, rain instead of shine–he’d not tease by taunting a flame, finding no joy in boasting magic, especially not to someone much stronger and trained than him.
“I think we have enough rain for now, but maybe in Longheat? Would make cleaning off the shrines and graves a bit easier.” Sure, fiery and earthy abilities were good for shooing away dust and burning old webs, but there were some days Kip wished for powers in a different element. Those days were few, but not unheard of.
With Kip’s worried question, the small flash of light along Sunjata’s scar was hard to miss, only adding to Kip’s concern that he was not here on just a social call.
Well, at least until Sunjata explained everything was fine, and Kip, in all his brawny stupidity, did not linger a moment longer in worry.
“Oh,” he exhaled, taking a rather large bite of his makeshift snack, clearly relieved, his shoulders relaxing with every chew. Sunjata just happened to pass by and stopped to say hello? Whether or not Kip showed on his face that he was savoring that sentiment, he would not speak that small joy out loud.
To be remembered, was to be loved–or something along those lines.
Kip hummed, considering how things were as of late, his mind muddling all recent events; life was monotonous in routine, exactly like he wanted it.
“Same, clearing off snow, making sure Deepfrost did not cause too much damage to the graves and shrines… there will be more to do once things melt, I assume– and elsewhere?” He offered back, wondering what was happening in the world beyond the area he maintained.
Kip preferred not to wander too far, leaving the adventures to the real adventurers.
