Character of the Season
Frail in body but dangerously quick of mind, Nikandr is the sort of character who proves that curiosity can be just as perilous as any weapon. A necromancer, inventor, and problem-solver with more ambition than self-preservation, Niki approaches the world like a puzzle box begging to be opened, even when what’s inside has teeth. Blunt, dry-witted, fiercely independent, and carrying a history best left partially buried, he has a knack for making even failure feel fascinating. Whether he’s raising the dead, moving across Caido to King's End, or experiencing a hangover for the first time, Nikandr brings a wonderfully strange spark to Caido, and we can’t wait to see what trouble his brilliant mind wanders into next.
Congratulations, Niki!

Tilting his head slightly, the alchemist offered the former-captain a crooked smile. Remi knew nothing of Warren at all, save that he held some sort of contract over Ianto. Ianto... The thought of his friend made Remi's heart clench momentarily with sadness.
Swallowing, once again the alchemist could only offer a polite shrug, his sea-glass green gaze rising to Archebold's own dark eyes before falling away. Something about the man's gaze made holding it feel incredibly uncomfortable, but nor did Remi want to appear rude by constantly looking away. And so he vacillated uncertainly as the former-captain continued.
"I suppose that is true." Remi said with a nod, running a hand through his curls and finding some consolation in the fact that he at least for once knew what Archebold was talking about. Didn't he?
Blinking in surprise at the sudden offer, a boyishly abashed smile crossed Remi's lips as he looked down at his charcoal-smeared pants and general disordered state of dress. Unhelpfully his stomach gave a sudden groan, answering the question of whether or not he was hungry for him. Smiling with a twinge of embarrassment, Remi shook his head almost shyly. "I could not impose. I have some food at home still—" But it appeared that the ascended was not taking no for an answer.
"Ah.. Alright. Thank you. Your last dinner was a night I remember well. I'll just blow out the candles?" Swallowing hard (if only because saliva had started to pool on his tongue), Remi moved to the back of his shop to extinguish the flames that burned there.
