i'm a thinker, not a talker
It’s that that breaks Casimir. The confident assertion that Thorn wants him like this, no matter what, had wanted him enough to drag him out from behind the bar and would continue to drag him out from behind the bar. He stiffens against the cheek in his curls, not necessarily at the action, but at Casimir’s deceit in letting Thorn continue to want him. Because for as stagnant as he is, as empty and rotted, and for as much Thorn thinks he wants him anyway, there’s something he doesn’t know. And deserves to, even if it tears up Casimir’s throat coming up.
”I’ve hurt people,” bleeds out of him like a wound, like a thorn extracting, and as much as it hurts crawling up his throat he has to say them. Thorn has to know who he’s tangling himself with. ”Fighting. An underground fighter. I’ve done… a lot. For money. Thrown fights. Beat people smaller, younger, weaker. And…” He squeezes his eyes shut. Hadn’t he number the pain of this? Hadn’t it bled out of him when he’d died?
”My father said it killed my mother. When she found out, she… It wrecked her. She was already sick. I was the nail in the coffin.” He breathes out, extracting himself from Thorn’s gentle touch as he did it.
”There,” Had Thorn known that was there before? Casimir stands, backing up against the door subconsciously, like he was preparing for an attack. His pupils dilated. ”Now you know.”
