Character of the Season
Once known as the Butcher of Whitebrim, he's now The Butcher of Dygra, stepping forward as the first created demigod of the Ancients. There is no question that Astaroth casts an intimidating silhouette. Tall, domineering and dangerous, if looks could kill you'd be dead already, but to get up close and personal with the Grounds' resident cannibal tells a much different story. Dripping with charm and clad in only the finest attire, Asta is a gentleman monster, as polite as they come and committed to his role as security for the Dusklight and those who have earned his loyalty. Be careful of that smile, though - those teeth are sharp.
Congratulations, Asta!

Emmett had never investigated the world of alcohol too much. Reminded him too much of his pa's bad days, where he would sink into a dark hole of booze and misery and not come out until someone had paid the price (usually by getting screamed at). But he'd had a long day carting around shovelfuls of dirt for the new plot and he wanted to have a break somewhere he would be able to just be himself for a while.
He wasn't quite sure what one asked for at a bar, but he confidently asked for beer and got something in a mug that looked about right, so he was fine with that.
The people here...a lot of them were new, probably Outlanders. They probably had some great stories, he reckoned. But he didn't want to bother anyone too much. They might think him a stupid farm boy, asking dumb questions.
He sat at the end of the bar and listened out for conversations, snippets that were interesting. Emmett took a sip of the beer and wrinkled up his nose at the taste, but determinedly took another swig. If he was going to take over the farm, he had to become a real man soon, and men didn't stop drinking because it was a bit strong.
He wasn’t entirely sure why he liked the Rathskeller. He didn’t even necessarily drink often when he came into the place, but there was a warm energy that was held within the walls, and he appreciated the familiarity that came with it. Familiarity was something he was sorely missing these days.
Arthur approached the bar and was given a mug of lemon tea with honey. He took a drink, deciding that it was a little too tart for his taste – could have used a touch more honey – but he wasn’t going to complain.
The easy gaze circled around the bar quickly, taking in his surroundings and listening. There was a man not much younger than himself by the look of it sitting at the end of the bar, and a slight grin found its way to his face when the young man didn’t seem to enjoy the taste of the drink in his hand.
The former king strolled towards the young man and leaned against the bar, his own drink in his hand. ”First time? Or new drink?” He asked with a charming smile, extending his hand to the other in greeting. ”My name is Arthur.”
Emmett did not have to wait long for conversation to find him in the form of an older man, smiling as he held a drink that wafted a sweet scent up to his nostrils. He was not used to sweets, having been brought up on hardy vegetables and bland stews, so the honey smelled too strong, sickly even. Still, he made no comment on this, just smiled and took the hand to shake.
"Both, actually, Arthur. I'm just about tryina get my head around this drinkin' thing." He said, looking down into his beer and swishing it about in the mug. "Is that a bit o' booze you've got there? It smells mighty odd." What he was trying to say was unclear, but Emmett was more trying to keep a momentum in the conversation by continuing to talk.
"Up on the farm we only have a few spirits my Pa buys in. He says they're the best thing to drink, but they smell like something you'd wash a cow down in to me."
