From being an Abandoned who had rarely left the Hollowed Grounds, to embracing the call of adventure, to dying and being reborn first as an Ascended and then as an Ancient, Maea has gone through quite the amount of changes in her life. One thing remains common, though, in her attempts to find out just where she belongs; she’s always had a craving for knowledge which has brought her to so many places and to meet so many people here in Caido. We can’t wait to see what else is in store for her!
Congratulations, Maea!

Court of the Fallen was created in October of 2018 by Odd, Honey, and Crooked.
Skinning and hosting by the epically talented Kaons, and functionality fanciness by the coding magic of Neowulf. If you ever see either of them around, make sure to show them some love!
The void creatures were taking over their city. They were taking over everything. Anna and Samael worked though them, cutting down stalks of pulsing purple and electrocuting everything that threatened them on the path. anger bubbled and boiled within the dragoon. This new leadership brought with it the increasing takeover of the Starfall creatures, mirroring their same pulsing violet and their same bent on domination.
She couldn’t take it anymore.
She stood outside of the tower, chopped down void flora in her hands, tears streaming down her cheeks. Samael zapped around her the matta matta that flew towards her threateningly. ”Justify this!” She screamed up at the tower, her words meant to scathe and scratch at the new leader that staked claim on the floating city. ”Justify this!”
And as you step back into line, a mob jumps to their feet
Let our blades shine with Justice
Let Valor our hearts sing.
Let all who seek protection
Find it 'neath the Dragoon's Wing.
It broke Zavien's heart to see so much infection spreading the city. The purple hue had become a constant characteristic of the city in recent days. A putrid smell permeated the air, although he couldn't tell if that was his opinion of the Void or a legitimate scent. Either way, it made him want to gag with every whiff of the flora crawling along buildings and roadways.
After another training session outside the city, Zavien had wanted to get a better survey of the area and damage done. More people were needing help in Stormbreak and he often found that an extra set of hands or the lending of an ear was all it took to ease the strain. He had been working on different ways to provide resistance against the new leadership and her "welcoming party," but discretion had been his preferred method unlike the crying woman shouting at the tower. The loud sobs and shaking of blighted plants made him want to hide her from prying eyes in hopes of protecting her from possible backlash. Zavien didn't know the new leader, Dahlia, very well, but he didn't think she'd take kindly to a one person protest outside of her window.
Although it was probably best that he leave her be and continue about his business in the city, Zavien glanced around before rushing to her side. He placed a gentle hand on her arm and whispered in a rushed voice, "Perhaps there is a better way to go about this? Should we talk somewhere quieter?" A nearby courtyard appeared empty and he indicated for her to follow him.
