Character Information
AppearanceShe is small, but muscular, albeit too thin. Her hips are narrow, her breasts are small, and she might be easily mistaken for a long haired, vagrant teenage boy if one doesn't look very hard. Her clothes are often a bit too large, and covered in dirt, from where she has passed out in the streets on her way home from the tavern. She doesn't seem to notice this, and seems nonchalant when it is pointed out to her. A leather belt with a variety of pouches holds up her loosely fitted trousers, and she most often wears a simple cotton blouse, with either buttons, or a threaded, open neck. A bottle or glass, partially full of amber spirits, is her most common accessory. PersonalityShe has two common states: hungover, and drunk. Waking whenever the sun becomes to bothersome to sleep through, and stumbling through the evenings, often until dawn peaks its face over the horizon. While there is a brief period in between where she can be perceived as the Brenna-version of happy or put together, it is short lived, and often wildly different from day to day. Like her father, she seems to suffer from chronic depression, and most certainly is an alcoholic. This allows her to bury away the depths of her emotions, which she is generally uncomfortably aware of. Not likely to share what lies within her inner world, Brenna prefers surface subjects, and will actively redirect a conversation if it becomes too emotional or personally involved for her liking, if she doesn't simply abandon it all together. In the case of disagreements, she is much more likely to throw a punch than seek a calm resolution, especially if the person that has disgruntled her is male. She writes poetry and songs when she is able, but shares them with no one. She occasionally still manages to practice her magic, and work on her swordsmanship. She believes deeply in what she believes, but is not keen on discussing those beliefs, either. In a close or trusted relationship, Brenna is quite awkward, but well intentioned, and loyal. She is greatly supportive of other's goals and ambitions in ways she is not towards her own, and is likely to advocate or take on the fight for those she loves, even when they are in the wrong. HistoryHer mother's first husband was a good man, and talented warrior, who was slain in a dragon assault before she was born. He fathered her oldest three siblings. Brenna's father, also a talented warrior, but additionally a chronically depressed and abusive alcoholic, passed away from his drinking habits not very long after Brenna's youngest full sibling was born, completing the set of four he brought to their family. Her mother remarried again, to a man weak in character and simple in goals and lifestyle, and runs a small farm with him, filling out the family with two more younger siblings. Around the fall of the barrier, Brenna left home, taking her father's few remaining tools of the trade with her, keen on exploring the new world. She initially set out to venture to the far cities, along with the others setting out in the spirit of newness and adventure, but quickly found herself back home, in the empty, but familiar, comfort of her homeland. If asked, and willing to answer, she will reveal that she does not believe that anyone noticed or cared (which, while not entirely true, is not wholly untrue, either). While she initially had dreams of picking up a sword, and fighting the good fight for the people of Caido, it wasn't very long before the taverns had hold of her. The years have blurred together in a drunken muddle since, though she does occasionally muster up the energy to work for the Monster Hunter's guild, various individuals in the role of a mercenary or general aide, or to provide other services as needed.
