His own laugh accompanies the Maverick’s, humming a note of consideration before he shakes his head. “I love threatening you with a good time.” He drawls, confident and faux swagger, fully anticipating the test phases back in the Wildering House for them to test out. In the mean time, though, he takes another sip of the icy and cool lemoncello, shivers a fraction to feel it race down his spine with its frigid fingers, but then begins to settle into his fiance’s side as he starts to explain the stars.
Leg shifting slightly beneath the warmth of Danta’s hand, he tears his gaze away from the bloodhounds in the sky to cast a sideways glance at his lover – all moonlit blue and gold, horns and eyes reflecting the glittering skies above. It stills him with a small and admittedly charmed smile as he nods. “It does. It just means following them may not lead to the same spot they once had.” It was the general direction still, at least, but he couldn’t rely on them in their entirety as he had when he was scouting centuries ago. Luckily, he doesn’t have to anymore.
“The one that looks somewhat boxy up here…” He pauses, sinking his posture down slightly to mirror Danta’s own status slumped against his side so he can point out the star shape in the sky. “We called la Ballena. It is shaped like a whale and we would use it to orient ourselves to the Sea of Glass.” The brightest stars that stick out appear in a rectangle with a long tail that sticks out.
