Kaisel
His certainty keeps teetering back and forth over the edge of completely positive he's bullshit his way out of this and entirely unsure he's done anything but continue to fumble this in the most spectacular way. On the one hand, Remi feeds into his conversation with a patient understanding and probing for clarity that seems normal. On the other hand, Remi's face says the opposite entirely at most every turn, and Kaisel can't decide if that's his interpretation, fueled by embarrassment, or if that's the true and telling state of the demigods' features.
Fortunately he can bury his head in the sand, quite literally as it turns out. The much safer topic of the desert sucking instead of Flora sucking is one Kaisel happily barrels completely into. "Yeah, it moved all weird too. Although deserts kinda...do that." He follows up on the idea of wrongness readily, although the way it existed bothered him far less than the way it died. Plenty of monsters are hideous and wrong, but most of the time they leave a body.
"Yeah, I'm good," he asserts, hands patting down his sides briefly as if in proof of being whole. "A few close calls, but I managed to dodge it whenever it came for me. Plus, Flora got something to help protect me, and I had Torchline's water in my pocket." Not that being healed after being wounded is ever a fun time than just, not being wounded, it is much better than limping along with it all the while, and he isn't daunted by the risk; excited by it, if anything. Cool scars aren't gained otherwise either.
Disappointment hangs for a moment when Remi seems not to have the alchemy he hoped for, but it's waved away when a different possibility writes itself into Remi's words, thoughts pulling together into a new shape as the bag is undone. "Just save a little bit of it, yeah? I wanna put it in a little troph—" Kaisel's words gradually slow and finally stop as the bag splits, not with the weight of a dead thing's dust and desert sand as is expected, but with a glowing stream that reaches up and out, as beautiful as it is surprising.
It drifts over to him with the lightness a breeze shifting, some errant hairs brushing a new section of skin. It seeps in with the same urgency of sleep that isn't noticed until waking, stealing consciousness even when you desperately want to keep it. It's the sort of slumber that finds you mid-task and takes you anyway, even if there's nothing more important in the world than staying awake next to the girl you secretly love in the middle of a hard night; it comes without approval.
Kaisel stumbles back a step or two before slumping into the arms of the door, one hand catching on his backpack in an attempt to grab hold of support, searching for resistance. It knocks a baggie of gummy worms free from the still wide-open pouch and they spill into his lap as he slides down to the ground, out like a light.
Yet, a blink later and Kaisel is there, sitting on the ground but properly, his snack in hand as if the exhaustion of travel demanded a floor-treat after all the standing and walking he'd endured to get here. "Want one?" he asks, offering up the gummy worms to Remi.

And when the day broke, buried in violence
Somethin' made my mind up
I could do this with my eyes closed
Somethin' made my mind up
I could do this with my eyes closed
Wearing a watery blue, faded and stretched-out sparkling hair tie on his left wrist
