Given that books come in all manner of shape and size, pictures or not, truth or not, he has never gotten behind this phrasing. It might have something to do with his general lack of appreciation for books as well, finding them the most dull way to learn anything. Case in point, witnessing Remi's gummy worm making magic is much more memorable than reading this supposed book of things he doesn't know. Too distracted by said memory being made, Kaisel doesn't grant the comment anything more than shrug before being lured closer by the worm's delicious body.

Glad that he only introduced himself by hand, rather than the impulse to do so with his mouth, quite certain he doesn't want to hear a gummy worm's shrieks of pain, Kaisel cannot help but scoff at Remi's hand-washing of the matter. "Yeah, but," he starts, voice lowering, suddenly uncertain how well gummy worms can hear. Instead, Kaisel pantomimes biting into it, gesturing frantically to make Remi understand that he made it so they could eat it. Surely, poking it is the least offensive thing that's happened.

In the logic of dreams, it doesn't bother Kaisel in the slightest that he can understand Remi's traveling tongue now, when he never has before or done anything to attempt to learn it. The astonishing part comes for him when he can properly speak it back, and that he seemingly doesn't connect the dots that he did understand it. "Ehi, smettila di sparlare di nascosto!" His words suck back in with a gasp and Kaisel's hands both clamp suddenly over his mouth. "Oh mio Dio! Cos'è successo alla mia voce?"

The gummy worm meanwhile, complains again, "I don't speak any of this, I'm out of here." Annoyed in the way only molded sugar can be, the massive thing begins to worm away
And when the day broke, buried in violence
Somethin' made my mind up
I could do this with my eyes closed
Wearing a watery blue, faded and stretched-out sparkling hair tie on his left wrist
