Got the dreamer's disease
"Hmm," she considers, fingers pinching her chin as she's seen enough adults do in order to draw their thoughts properly down to their mouth. "Thalty makes sense," she says with a good mimic of Carlo 's gagged word, which at once makes her grin. She promptly wrestles it back into proper seriousness as she tacks on Calan 's additional findings. "And gross," she nods, jotting their notes on her mental page. At Calan's statement, a finger of agreement point heftily towards him, then flicks up and twirls as a scientific breakthrough is made. "Right, so bioscience is not for eating, just for viewing. Now we know." No way to have known before.
Science is a tireless mistress though, and as Carlo points out, discovery awaits them yet again. Her gaze turns the direction of the nearest bar stand and said blue drinks. Honestly, after seeing how poorly the blue bioscience went down both their throats, Fern doesn't like how similar the liquid looks, and in her experience thus far adults like to eat and drink some strange stuff. "It could be just as salty and gross," she cautions, but then equally, shrugs. "Only one way to find out."
Glancing back at both boys and Calan's eagerness to set off, she holds up one quick palm. "Wait!" she whisper-hisses. "Aren't those for adults only. How are we gonna get one?" There's a few options, but the first one that comes to her mind requires closing one eye and squinting between the twins. "I think if one of you stood on the others shoulders, and we got a big coat, you could pass as my dad."
