The children asking for a balloon sent a laugh soaring through the Honeybee; who was she to not strive on making a grand impression on the youth? As Aithne fired at one, Melita chucked hers at another, watching as the little girl moved directly into the hit, squealing with delight at being properly soaked, then racing back and forth to a relative.
Her smile grew less wicked at the compliment, and the demigod glanced back at Aithne with a softer expression. “Aww, well, thank you. I aim to please.” Mostly herself, but she certainly wanted the experiences to be entertaining for the masses – otherwise she wouldn’t be courting or presiding over any of Ludo’s beliefs.
At the Ludo question though, she nodded again, swinging her gaze back to the kids and watching a few more sidle up. “Absolutely. Once, in the middle of a dangerous quest, it gave us all duck costumes,” of which she found endlessly amusing; but could ascertain that wasn’t for everyone. “It’s helped in plays before...,” she offered, beginning to rattle off events via her fingers. “Pretty sure it helped Flora get her house haunted…”
