The concept of a now witch ghost grandma babysitter had the Halovian boy completely bewildered, flummoxed, and a tad bit envious. It would be something he’d be asking either parent about immediately, and why he didn’t have one, how could they possibly acquire this tremendous gift instead of, perhaps, Zuriel always giving him the stink eye. “That sounds so awesome,” he granted in a whisper of awe, as if these notions triumphed over everything he’d ever heard about. “When do you get to see her?”

Orsino kept digging, young and determined, and as Erebos was of the same mindset, he nodded. “I say we let him try, but maybe help? I could probably use my magic too, but not for very long.” His gaze went towards Sugar – because the sudden thought of watching a dragon freeze things sounded awesome too. The kit was plucky though, and before long his little limbs had contorted a great amount of sand on the sides of his makeshift hole, ears twitching this way and that to find the crab. “What’re you gonna do with the crab once we get it?” Like it was a thing of destiny, rather than three boys harassing an animal. “Would you keep it as a pet?”

That the said dragon belonged to deer dad versus tentacle dad had him blinking, but then he remembered his own father could also be an assemblage of things. “Ooh, okay!” mired along a nod of acceptance. “My dad can be a big dog. Or a big bird. Or a big uh…water monster thing.” All of this made sense in Caido anyway.

The mere idea of spriggans had him glancing up and pausing his own digging methods, not nearly as good as the fox’s, mouth rounding and he gasped with boyish intent and delight. “I haven’t seen one of those yet! Your house must be really fun!”
