Carlo
Nodding seriously - extra sewer monster protection is even more important than the regular kind, though of course Finch would know that already - and letting his hands find the deep pockets of his slicker, the result makes Carlo look like an oversized green sulk of a boy, an appearance which soon matches his mood when it comes to what the older thief has to say. Thieves' cant suddenly sounds like something very worth knowing, especially for their budding endeavours, and the fact that Finch tacks on the caveat that one has to be born knowing it is no longer the deterrent it might have been in their first meeting.
"You say that about a lot of really interesting stuff," he says with the air of a gambler who has seen the extra card up his opponent's sleeve. "Lockpicking, thieves' cant... I think maybe we already do know these things, since we've been thieving good enough since before we met you." And perhaps that's more dangerous than anything; pretending at lockpicking and mysterious symbols by virtue of the fact that they are apparently supposed to be born knowing them.
"Also you've got dirt on your face," he adds, because in kid logic that earns them several more points compared to Finch, acts of observation being what they are.
