your touch brought forth an incandescent glow, tarnished but so grand
Spice answers Sila’s challenge immediately, folding one wing close enough to send herself into a corkscrew before snapping it wide again and bursting through the trailing heat with a triumphant trill. Flora laughs under her breath as she watches the display, though Melita’s assessment of Safrin draws a quick nod and an easy shrug from her. "Yeah, you’re probably absolutely right." Even in the best possible mood, the goddess would almost certainly find something to judge, and Flora isn’t sure she wants to know what celestial criticism of her dining room might actually sound like.

At the suggestion of unloading cursed objects onto unsuspecting people, Flora turns so quickly the sled rope goes slack in her hand. Her jaw drops with exaggerated horror before a cackle escapes her, bright and delighted. "Oh my gods, imagine receiving something anonymously addressed to you and thinking you’ve got a secret admirer or something, but it’s really just a cursed object someone wanted to get rid of." She presses her lips together as though that might contain the next laugh, but it only twists her grin wider. "I love it."

She tries not to watch Melita too closely after that, mostly because Flora knows perfectly well how tightly the Honeybee keeps anything resembling romance tucked against her chest. Instead, she bends for another bottle and turns it between her fingers before dropping it onto the sled. "I know the sand maybe came from some weird jungle demon or whatever, buuuut it kind of sounds like a once-in-a-lifetime thing." Her brows bounce encouragingly as she glances sideways, the suggestion left just casual enough to retreat from if necessary.

Then, predictably, Melita adds monsters into the mix, and Flora rolls her eyes with unmistakable affection. "Yeah, totally. Maybe you can even save Iskra’s life heroically, and then he can find some way to repay you." This time the rise of her brows is far too slow and deliberate to pretend innocence, and the grin she turns toward her friend makes absolutely no attempt to disguise what she means.
