The Sword knew ambition, the need of proving oneself time and time again to the masses, or the grating, incessant pull of trying to instill strength, day after day, becoming a little better by each moment. He’d been much the same way, before he learned for himself what war meant, and how much it carved into one’s soul. How much it lingered, stayed, and scarred.
