Nova
Watching as he ties his hair back, Nova clasps her hands behind her and rocks onto her heels. She expects his answer before it comes, but her smile widens nonetheless, magic thrumming through her veins in preparation for the lesson. There's a small bounce in her step when she nods a seal of approval.
She doesn't comment about the strange placement of his watery tendrils, about how they look more like restraints than weapons. Instead, she spins on her heels and puts some distance between them, clearing enough space for him to really go all out.
The only instruction she gives him when she twirls back to face him is "Attack me." It's carefree and unbothered, as if she's asked him to kiss her rather than throw water magic her direction. But she doesn't stutter, and she doesn't give him room to argue. She just waits, her expression growing more exasperated to the point of patronizing if he tries to argue or insinuate she can't handle whatever he throws her way.
