One problem with starting fun shit sometimes, Melita was quickly noticing, was that they then had to clean up after said fun. For all the work they’d put in with dragging out lines and buoys, they were going to have to do the same fuckery again, except now it was removing them from the waves.

The cold breeze rumbled along the shoreline though, and the Honeybee couldn’t quite suppress the shudder that moved around them – frowning a little as they advanced upon the sand and dunes, pondering how much chillier the sea might be. “Does it feel a little colder than usual to you?” Marked by her heavy Ludo sweatshirt, she still wore her bright skirt underneath, and deeply regretted it. Perhaps today would be more ideal on the surface, and she went to readjust the anklet on her leg.

Tilting her head though, not trying to delay the inevitable surely, she grinned at Kaisel, keeping the mode light for now. “How was riding the dolphin though?” She’d been rather distracted by Iskra, and hadn’t really absorbed the whole scene.

Way too blessed to be stressed
"That feels like a very bad joke set up, and I'm not falling for it." He shoots her an unimpressed glance, muttering something under his breath about staying cool, or not being cool enough to notice. Certain that one of those predictable answers was her punchline.

It is nearly as chilly as it had been during longnight though. A bit warmed by the sun, although it doesn't seem to have properly burned through the morning cloud cover yet, leaving everything muted and grey, even the sea. His foot slides into the water with a reluctance that only redoubles when the wet, cold creep of it encircles his ankle. He perseveres though, and before long the tide is swaying at his knees. In one hand, he has his leviathan chakram, having noticed a great deal of seaweed had built up on the lines and would need hacking away to clear.

"Oh, that was great!" he brightens considerably, forgetting puns and the teeth of the sea in favor of Longnight's dark revelry. "Well, first I was the encantado, you know, to get into the proper headspace. Then I was on one, and that was...unique." He grins before diving all the way in, popping up behind a wave and swimming towards the buoy line.

"You ever get on one?"

Maybe they weren’t ever going to be friends, because even with the simplest of questions, his answers made her want to punch him in the face. Her face said as much, earning a massive eye roll and a huff of breath that pooled back into the air on a warm puff momentarily. Not even bothering to dignify a response, she casually and cooly placed her feet upon the surface of the waves, and began walking across, arms still crossed over her chest as if this was an everyday experience.

Even his little cheery tones irked and urged her suspicions, though perhaps she was now overly irritated. Pulling at some seaweed that had collected on the lines, she tossed it aside and began disassembling the buoys, casting them back in his direction while he talked.

Though she glanced at him when he said he’d become the encantado…wondering if there was some sudden Attuned bombardments she’d missed…when no, that’s…what he’d meant. Briefly baffled, she shook her head, muttering something under her breath and moving with grace and poise along the waves. Only when he popped back up did she arch her brow, gathering another round of floating seaweed in her grasp. “Right, but like, did it give you trouble?” It’d been hard to tell from the shoreline. “No, I haven’t,” but mainly because she’d once accidentally helped murder someone who’d been catching a ride on a skeleton monster, and somewhow wondered if that would ever come back to haunt her. “My uncle’s husband once rode a giant chicken through here though.”
