They chose an easygoing venture while they still had the time, the leisure, and the opportunity; scaling away work or finishing missives before altering their course for Torchline. He’d taken the flying route once more, for her comfort and safety, before they descended into the familiar lines of the ocean, and far adrift from Starfall. It still lingered there in the distance, like an ominous beacon, but he ignored it for the sake of their contentment – besides, if anything hovered from that region, Belial would alert him.

For now though, they could drift and tread water, contemplating plans and best angles for drifting down into fathoms deep. “I have only been here once before,” he mentioned, pointing towards where the Underwater City lingered below the waves. The rest was unknown – which prompted far more curious measures, and the speculation of how best to conquer it. “How would you like to go?” There were multitudes of options – from simply swimming with found charms and baubles at the market, to incantations unfurling in Air or Water proportions, or even his shifts, capable of careening them through.

Evie
Evie is not a whale, per se, especially considering her belly had gone unnoticed even by her for most of her pregnancy, but so close to the birth she feels like at least a manatee. Luckily, much like Evie, manatees are incredibly happy creatures. The pressure had relieved itself from her spine the moment they submerged themselves into the ocean's waters, and she lets herself luxuriate for a moment in Torchline's sun, positively ecstatic that they took this little vacation.

Refocusing and floating closer - though she already had anchored herself to Deimos' elbow while bobbing about in the surf - Evie looks down consideringly. "Magic. I trust your magic more than a charm." And though there is far more 'tourism' now so to speak, Evie doesn't trust that all charms and baubles are made fairly or safely. She trusts her husband more than any other person in this world, and she knows his power and stamina well enough to know it's not an unreasonable request. Though Evie has her own, she tires faster given her pregnant state, so she is content to only tap in as needed. Her grin is sheepish as she turns to him, hair slicked back already and freckles popping beneath the sun. "Don't tell Dama this is my first visit though, he'll be so sad I went without him." Deimos is the world's best secret keeper, thankfully. Doesn't mean she shouldn't ask now that the two of them apparently talk now.

Always scrutinizing, ensuring her safety and comfort (as best he could, under the circumstances), he smiled as she seemed to ease into the wake of the surf and swell. Maybe the water supported her more, gave over its strength and lent a buoyant compromise. He waited for her answer regardless, keeping her close and tucked within range, eager to unfurl and unravel and keep them shielded and secure.

When magic was the answer, he grinned. Even more so when the other statement lingered, and he gave a snort. “I will keep your secret,” with a wrinkle to his nose; for he harbored many. She had some of his too. A fair trade, for all their confidences and compassion.

From there, his creation wrapped around them – Air mingling within a bubble proportion, justifying all they needed for when they dove into the depths, and allowing for them to continue conversations – because undoubtedly there’d be multitudes to see and discuss. “Ready?” He inquired, in case she wanted to linger near the surface – but when she declared it opportune, he dove down, keeping the threads of enchantments glowing, tangible and bright.

Evie
Evie grins, clearly pleased with his easy acceptance, and taps one wet fingertip to the tip of his wrinkled nose. "This is why you're my favorite," she confides, as if he doesn't have a substantial lead on the next person in line for her favor.

It would be easy to use the Bubblestream, but Evie doesn't like the idea of being separated even for a moment from Deimos, and hadn't investigated whether two people could navigate through it at the same time. Why bother when they have this as an option? "Ready!" There's something enchanting about the way they begin to descend beneath the surface, their pace steady but slow enough to not make her sick. Puking underwater sounds horrific so she's quite glad for it. It also allows her to peer down at the slowly growing sight of the underwater kingdom, feet kicking idly just to enjoy the feeling of the water as it cools the lower they go. Nothing that can bother her with her blessing, but novel all the same. "I'm glad it's not any further from the shore or the pressure would likely be painful," she notes in a strangely excited tone, a mind meant for science and experiments gleefully considering the ramifications of living underwater as a non-Mer.

“Ah, the only reason?” He crooned in return, the lazy and boyish smile tethered to his features. It may have ushered in the potential for teasing and taunting, but that was such an easygoing pattern between the two of them, and he reveled and revered the opportunities of foolish and comfortable banter.

But then they were coasting lightly down through the depths, and his eyes took in the change in undulations and scenery; the cast of light flickering through the bubbling wake, the blue hues of the sky casting into something deeper and darker, the wake and ease of the liquid churning over his body like an age-old embrace. He’d never tire of the water, no matter where, and to enthrall about it with Evie was an essential bonus of their mild sojourn today.

He was careful not to hasten swiftly away, keeping a steady but leisurely pace, occasionally turning over to float amidst her presence, before kicking again and staring along the sea. “Let me know if it bothers you though,” regardless of pressure or anything else.
