Tall, handsome, princely. Dark brown eyes and curly brown hair. Usually wears it tied back or braided on one side. Expansive aura.
Personality
Octavius is earnest and kind much of the time. He has noble values and believes strongly in doing what is right under the eyes of the Gods. He can be a bit arrogant and spoiled without meaning to be. He is characterized by idealism and optimism. He is confident and sure of himself on the outside but secretly holds some doubts about his ability and place in the world. He can be boisterous and loud amongst the right company, and doesn't tend to take life too seriously. He is quite accustomed to getting what he wants, when he wants it, and possesses a caring heart.
History
Octavius Acanthio Belefort is the last of eight sons and daughters of the illustrious Belefort noble family in Stormbreak. His family holds little in the way of political power but are large contributors to the economy, infrastructure, and culture of the city. In short, they're rich, and Octavius grew up in a pampered, high-class environment. He was well-educated as a young boy in both academics and sword-fighting, as well as in religious history and scripture. He was raised to be God-fearing and admiring, especially of the Belefort family's patron, Vi.
For much of his life he was satisfied with playing and fighting for sport, but the war changed a lot of things for him. He experienced true loss for the first time in his life when his sister, who served as a soldier for the Old Gods, was slain in battle. This was before the peak of the fighting, and soon enough, many of his other siblings joined the military to fight as well. The youngest son of 4, Octavius normally would not have mattered much, but as the war wore on, his mother became ever more protective of the children she had left. When the fighting stopped, Stormbreak was in the sky and Octavius and his family were safe, but he felt useless, especially after witnessing the suffering and destruction of the aftermath.
His mother was infuriated when she discovered he had joined up as a Dragoon not long after. She tried her best to make him change his mind, but he refused. He was committed to helping people in the way he couldn’t help his sister back then. His mother didn’t take it well, giving him the silent treatment for a time, and his allowance was diminished greatly. He adjusted to the lack of income, albeit after getting saved by his siblings a couple of times. He’s accustomed to being spendthrift, still. For now, he does the best he can to help as a Dragoon while still having fun, pursuing little else but proving himself quite capable along the way.
