There is no Frigate like a Book To take us Lands away.

Elizabeth was relieved to hear that she would be a welcome addition to the area. Hopefully the sentiment would last with the rest of the community. As a family, they'd always been able to hold their own amongst the more blunt, unsympathetic people. On her own, she'd have to put down deeper roots through better connections, something she'd have to work on. Luckily, the area wasn't new to her. "I've visited the Citadel a few times growing up, so I'm at least a little familiar with it."

Another thing she'd assumed incorrectly about the man. Elizabeth perked slightly at the word 'Outlander.' It had been awhile since she'd heard the term. "Oh, interesting!" She wanted to use the word 'fascinating,' but feared Deimos may think she was trying to analyze him - even if that was what she secretly wanted to do. The strangers that appeared in the Hollowed Grounds had been a source of curiosity for her and her father. He often wondered if their heritage made them different than the natural Caido residents. If he was here, he'd be bombarding the man with questions to fill in his history understanding.

"I can't disagree with you." She laughed lightly at the idea of Torchline being a vacation location and how her parents had obviously thought that exact thing when they decided to make it their permanent home. His question had her bobbing her head in a noncommittal manner. "Not exactly. We didn't stay in the same place for more than a few months, but my mom was originally from Torchline." They didn't have family in the area anymore, but they usually ended up staying slightly longer to escape the brunt of Deepfrost. This was the first year she'd get a firsthand experience of the harsher weather. With that in mind, she asked, "Do you have any recommendations to prepare for LongNight?" Elizabeth tried to keep the slight nervousness from her voice. This was what she'd asked for, after all.
