And it's like snow at the beach
Accompanying Deimos beyond the walls of the Citadel still made Alys hesitate - and Sascha, certainly, balked at the idea - but her ursur could always find ways to entertain herself within the city until they returned. Alys wasn't keen to bring the companion out upon the frigid wastes again, not after last time, but she'd come far enough - and trusted in Deimos's abilities enough - to believe that there wouldn't be another tragedy today. So she kept pace with him as they meandered on, following in what she was sure was a methodical sweep of the area.

"For, what, a year now? More?" Alys agreed, frowning. Her eyes caught on icicles and snow drifts - far more than she'd expect at this time of year - and she gnawed on her lip, thinking. "And - I had a vision," she added softly. "I don't know what it means, but the last time I had one was when the Family was here, so I'm inclined to think there's something stirring." Something, somewhere, felt off - beyond the strange seasonal shift, into the gods themselves. "I think something's wrong with Ludo and Mort. In my vision, people kept coming to their shrines to offer gifts, but there was no response."
Weird, but fuckin' beautiful
