There's a chill in the air and the nights are beginning to draw in for all but the most tropical of regions. Where the trees are thickest, the world alights in a blaze of colour - ombre and crimson, marigold and crisp russet - and candles appear in windows, in lanterns, on doorsteps. Leafchange is here again, and some whisper of the raggedy god and its upcoming festival, of Ludo and the lights.
Others, still, whisper of phantoms and spectres, of tricks and ghosts and the realm beyond our own where souls drift towards Mort. Most souls, anyway.
However you choose to spend the season, it's a time of reflection and memories; a time where you might just see new faces return, and in more ways than one.

This event will run from November 1st to December 31st. All requirements must be met to complete the event. Multiple characters can participate, but the threads do not carry across! (I.E. Both characters must complete all threads to gain +2 stats each).
Please use the [se] prefix in your thread titles. Once all requirements are met, post them here with your OOC account, linking the necessary threads and where you'd like your +2 stats to be allocated! Threads must be archived before the end of the season in order to be accepted.
VAMPIRE GOURDS have returned this season, and they've brought a spooky new variant along with them...
1. Complete a thread encountering a Vampire/Possessed Gourd (whether you dispatch it or not is entirely up to you).
2. Complete a thread protecting your home from wayward spirits. (E.g. light a candle in the window, scatter salt along the threshold, burn incense/sage). Be creative!
3. Complete a thread reading someone's fortune/having your fortune told.
4. Complete a thread playing a game in honour of Ludo. It must take place at night.
5. Participate in the Festival of Lights by posting twice or more - this will occur towards the end of the season, and will be linked here when the time comes.
Vampire Gourd (Common): Roughly the size of a gourd or pumpkin, these playful creatures have small, beady eyes and rows of tiny, sharp teeth. They roll to move or use their stalk and vines to bounce around, often ambushing the unsuspecting with harmless nips or mischievous pranks. Quick to evade capture, Vampire Gourds are a familiar yet cheeky presence during Leafchange.
Possessed Vampire Gourd (Uncommon): Infected by a wandering spirit, these gourds gain a sinister edge. No longer bound to the ground, they hover in place, their glowing eyes following each movement nearby. The Possessed Vampire Gourd can throw its voice and conjure minor illusions—a shadowy hand, an eerie face—within a foot of itself.
