Appearance
Truly someone forged by her environment, Mildew looks every bit a swamp witch. Dressed in dark green and brown clothes and with mud or plants often incorporated into her outfit and hair somehow, she could belong nowhere else but the swamp. While she isn't one for much decoration, she does wear a few rings, each carved from wood or bone and depicting gothic symbols like skulls or thorned roses.

Her hair is a cloud around her head, beautiful and curled in long ringlets that burst out around her and shift hues as they go down to her mid-back. With her skin the colour of some of the trees that grow in the swamp and her eyes dark and smiling, she is beautiful: watch out though, some say in that smile there is a hint of danger. Indeed, her sharp nails and quick way of moving suggest towards the power this Demi Goddess holds, as well as the tattoos snaking their way up her arms, which begin as sweet flowers at the wrist but at the shoulder have become angry brambles.

Personality
Mildew moves and speaks with a quiet dignity and intelligence that comes from having lived hundreds of years. She's experienced a bit of everything and isn't afraid to assert her superior knowledge against some dumb human at the young, young age of 97. Generally interested in being helpful she is not unkind, but does not take well to people questioning her wisdom; a mischievous streak runs through her, meaning her 'help' can occasionally take on a somewhat Fae-like quality.

When angered she can turn in a second to a witch from a child's story, cunning and cruel and not at all concerned with the moral quandaries of using her power against whoever has wronged her. The easiest way to anger Mildew is to show disrespect to her when she is giving advice or wisdom or to be ungrateful; a close second is to act against her friends, companion or Frey.
History
Mildew has been many things throughout history, taking on whatever form Frey or the natural surroundings asked of her. She has been old, young, male, female, a being too powerful for such labels...what has not changed is her purpose. Made by Frey to deal with the weird little insignificant issues of humans, she can use materials she finds in the swamp to make potions and tell fortunes for those that enter her hut.

Since she has been around for such a long time, there are plenty of tales of Mildew in many different lands; she is known by many different names. Most know to show her respect; those that don't generally haven't gone back to their communities in one piece.
