Perhaps the closest equivalent of Caido’s golden retriever energy, Zavien has been the light in an otherwise patch of darkness. Always putting others first, working hard at being a Dragoon and helping Stormbreak thrive in kindness, and always being optimistic, Zavien’s outlook is refreshing and wonderful even with drama and terrible things occurring around him. He always has something helpful to say and a willingness to lend a hand that makes it so fun to keep up with him and we can’t wait to see what else comes his way.

The first thing most people notice about Adam is his height. He is very tall, aided by the heeled boots he always wears and the height of his hair. Next they probably notice how skinny he is, to the point where you might worry about it if he wasn't so casual about it. His hair is in a rough, tangled mullet with a long braid running down his left side. On the right side of his face and neck there are five large, bumpy scars, two of which run into his lips but seem to no longer affect his speech.

He has several tattoos. A lot of them are in secret places (he welcomes you to try and find them ;) ) but the most visible is a large compass rose over his left shoulder reaching into his chest. His chest is nearly always a little on display in a V neck shirt, and he is quite well equipped with plenty of chest hair. He has dark skin and a prominent nose, and dark brown eyes.

He wears leather light armour and tight pants, along with huge heeled boots. All accessorised with embellished and engraved metal trinkets and details.

His eyes are always surrounded by a large amount of black kohl, giving him the appearance of a mischievous raccoon.

Prior to his Ascension, Adam was all about worldly pleasures. Now that's not an option, but he still wants to keep up his cool sexy persona. Bedecked in slutty goth clothing, high heeled boots and smudged eyeliner, Adam absolutely wants to project the image of a strung out rogue, even in his new life.

Adam cares about one thing: being a roguish hero. No, scrap that. He cares about two things: booze and sex. No, scrap that. He cares about robbing shit and bedding princes.

Truthfully, Adam is a bit of a disaster. He likes to think of himself as a broody, tortured hero. In reality he's a glorified thief who can do eyeliner. He wants to save everyone and have them love him but regularly becomes far too apathetic and depressed to actually do any saving, and just steals to show off his skills and have something to do. Despite his long life of crime he is not cruel or malicious; in fact he greatly struggles with having to hurt anybody and will nearly always try to work a way around it.

He has something of a substance abuse problem drinking and drugs habit, which he keeps well concealed with years of practice but would be obvious to someone who knew what to look for. He loves to have fun and party, sometimes for days at a time, but will always be mysteriously absent when it comes to the cleaning up or planning.

Adam speaks bluntly and without much thought, which can lead to some offence (there is always at least one swear littered in his language), but does have a natural charisma in his simple and direct way. He can get bristled if he thinks people are being snobby or rude to him, and when embarrassed gets particularly snippy. He hates nobility.
History
Adam was born in a small farming village to a simple working man and his wife. Life was good until he was about 6, when his father was involved in a revolutionary plot against a Lord who attempted to take over the village for his own gain. His father was named and betrayed by the rest of his comrades and send to the guillotine for his crimes; Adam's mother fled with him.

The land they came from was a harsh one, and she had little choice: Adam grew up in the brothel his mother worked at from that point on. He began to show signs of troubling behaviour early on, stealing and annoying the local law enforcement almost daily. His favourite thing to do growing up was to listen to the stories of bards who would come into the taverns and tell stories of brave, charismatic heroes with sexy mysterious eyes and swooning princesses.

In his late teens Adam worked for a while in the brothel. It was while doing this he met Heidi, his first true love and partner in crime, for a while. She was a rich girl, the daughter of a distant royal relation, but desired the company of someone rougher. It was Heidi who first put the idea in Adam's head to go after the man who had killed his father.

After a year of planning, Adam found the house and the room, and got in one night without a single issue. He held his pistol over the sleeping Lord's head, took a deep breath, and...couldn't do it. He couldn't kill somebody. And then he lost his moment -- guards rushed in, the Lord woke up, and he was tossed from the window in a fight, only to fall onto a metal spiked grate beneath, slicing open his chin and neck and leaving him suspended until Heidi came looking for him.

The next few years would eventually become a blur. From not being able to speak, to numbing his pain with whatever pill he could find, to his inevitable split from Heidi...Adam laid in gutters several times a week and wished for his death. It did not come.

Finally, desperately, he pulled himself from the hole that he had fallen into. And he made a decision: He was going to be the hero from his childhood stories. He was going to be a dashing Highwayman. So he got himself some engraved guns, a sexy outfit and a horse. And began.

His twenties have been spent mostly stealing, sleeping with people and trying out new drinks. A healthy way to live? Probably not. But a fun one? Definitely. He's healthy. Don't ask about it. He's fine.
Adam pissed off Ludo in Tripping Along by asking it why it didn't just kill The Voice right out. He won his first trial in the Cloister in Cloister of Trials: Adam vs Are, but was knocked out in the next round.
After Lucas died, Adam inherited the Devil's Advocate's guild. He agreed to date Peter in Like a Thief in the Night. He rallied his new guildmembers and gained a couple new recruits in The New Era. For Longnight he stayed in the MHG, where he teased Amalia and Deimos in Rating out of Ten.
